FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do you offer the course? (live, virtual, on-demand, self-study, home study)

Currently, all of our courses are conducted via Zoom. You can attend from anywhere, and we find this format works best for our students. We also offer an option to take Course One online as self-study if you prefer.

What is the maximum number of students per class?

The Wyoming Real Estate Commission limits our Zoom classes to 50 students. However, our typical class size is much smaller, ensuring that everyone’s questions are addressed.

What happens if I have questions during or after the course?

You can always ask questions during class, and our instructors make sure to answer each one. If you need additional support, we also offer private tutoring. After you take our classes, you can retake them for free up to six months if you need further preparation.

What is the schedule for your classes?

Our class schedule is posted on our website. Classes generally run for nine days, with several breaks each day, including an hour for lunch.

Do I have to complete quizzes/tests to pass the course?

We use quizzes as learning tools during the classes, and there is a final exam that you take on your own. The Wyoming Real Estate Commission (WREC) requires a 70% pass on the course final exam. Full attendance is also required for certification

Do I get a certificate or transcript when I finish the course?

Yes, you will receive a certificate for each course you complete: Course One, Course Two, and Wyoming Law. These certificates are required when you apply for your license.

Are there other courses or books you recommend to help me pass the test?

We recommend focusing on the materials we provide, as they are specifically designed for Wyoming’s licensing exams. Other resources might not be relevant to what’s covered in Wyoming.

Where are your locations?

Our courses are all conducted online via Zoom, which means you can attend from anywhere.

What if I have to miss a class?

You are allowed to miss up to 10% of a class, but for the Wyoming Law course, we recommend attending the entire session. If you do miss a class, you can retake any or all sessions for free within six months.

Do you offer tutoring?

Yes, we offer tutoring. Our instructor Sarah is available to set up private Zoom sessions for anyone who needs extra help. Once you take our classes, you can also retake them for free within six months if needed.

Is your school licensed by the state of Wyoming?

Yes, our school is licensed by the Wyoming Department of Education. We renew our license annually, and we report specifics like class attendance and instructor details to stay compliant.

Does your school offer Continuing Education (CE)?

Yes, we offer the required CE classes through Zoom, as well as several elective options on our website.

What makes your school different?

Our school focuses on personalized support. Sarah, our lead instructor, actively participates in all Pearson Vue sessions to stay informed on exam content, even assisting Person Vue with content development at times. We prioritize customer service and helping each student succeed.

What textbook do you use?

We use Dearborn’s “Modern Real Estate Practice,” currently on version 21, and “Language of Real Estate” (version 8). These are updated regularly to keep up with changes in the field. Additionally, we write our own Course II materials. The Wyoming Law course materials are taken directly off of the Wyoming Real Estate Commission’s website.

How long have you been in business?

Our school has been around for over 60 years. It was originally started by John Cooley in 1964. Bruce Burkhart purchased the school in 2005 and ran it for about 25 years. Sarah Johnson, the current owner, purchased it recently but has taught with us for over 19 years.

Our lead instructor, Sarah Johnson, has been in real estate for over 30 years and owns an office with 2 active branches. She is committed to ongoing education, regularly taking courses to stay sharp both as an educator and real estate professional. If I have a license in another state, how can I get my Wyoming license?

If you have an active license in another state, you only need to take Course Two and Wyoming Law, then pass the state exam to get your Wyoming license.
